About Our Troop

Who We Are...

Troop 222 is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Covington, Georgia. We have held a continuous charter for over 72 years. We were chartered in June of 1937 . We are the oldest continually rechartered Troop in the area and the only Troop within the city limits of Covington.

If you were to take a look at our past membership roster, you find many names of boys who are now successful, prominent, and influential men in the community.

Troop 222 has boys that are in public school, Christian school, private school, and are homeschooled.

Our troop maintains the strong moral and Christian emphasis that has been part of the Scouting movement since its beginning.

When and Where We Meet...

We meet every Monday year round(except for the Mondays following camp-outs). Meetings are held from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Troop 222 Scout Hut which is located in Academy Spings Park in Covington, Georgia.
